If you want to go into small caps, then I always recommend adding another factor, as the size factor itself is not very strong.

Primarily, you should try to remove the unprofitable companies, as these destroy almost all of the excess return.

Therefore, I recommend either small cap value $ZPRV (-1.19%) / $ZPRX (-0.89%) or add a quality filter on top: $RTWO (-1.57%)

There has recently been a new ETF provider in Europe and it brings us this beauty, among other things: $AVWS (+0%)

Avantis is a company formed from former Dimensional Fund Advisors employees.

In the institutional sector, they are known for their factor ETFs, which are all rule-based investments but do not track an index.

And so I asked myself the question, does it always make sense to have an index?

After all, an index is also a rule-based system built by humans. So why not implement the system without an index?

Dimensional Fund Advisors have been doing this for over 40 years.

That's why I've been looking at other such rules-based ETFs. ($IQSA (-0.74%) for example)

In my opinion, many investors do not distinguish between rules-based investing and stock picking, they all think of Dirk Müller $OD6H (-0.31%) and $ARKK (-1.71%) but there are many shades of gray between those and an MSCI World, which in my opinion do not receive enough attention.

What do you think of ETFs without an index?

I would like to get some thoughts from you guys on the following:

For reasons (tax shit) I have around 100K for about 1 year. After that I have to give the money to father state (before I explained that is the year again so we accept it like that - ok? Yes I could give that back earlier but I don't want to).

Now the question how can I use the money in the meantime best.

in shares is of course nonsense because I take an inherent risk with it.

About Traderepublik and 2% interest I have thought. But is it really worth the stress for a few Euronen. With the risk that the interest rates are lowered conditions change and payouts may take forever. Are there possibly providers with more interest?

last but not least a very risky idea:

everything in $VWRL and then save back from the current salary... understandable?

Has anyone managed to beat the performance of the Premium Fund in the last month?

Many seem to have not understood this ingenious Finanzprodunkt! The global stock market only needs to collapse by 90% and the thing flies at least to the Ur Anus! 🚀🚀🚀

Which stocks, ETFs, etc. would you bet on and why?

I had an interesting conversation with one of my students yesterday. I work part-time as a lecturer (completely outside of the financial sector) and often have groups with whom I talk outside of class over lunch or the like.

The student in question was just 20 and absolutely convinced follower of Dirk Müller, Max Otte, Florian Homm and Co. and not invested in the fund so often criticized here, but in their theses. He had bought the books and was so clearly convinced in conversation with me that "something big is coming", that they see things that everyone else doesn't see, etc.

I found that somehow frightening, simply because a person in his most malleable time was so strongly influenced by things that he steered his personal savings in those directions. Müller, Otte and Co are, after all, controversial at best. Many things that are said there are for me simply marketing and shock tactics.

I don't have the necessary expertise about the markets to "counter" that, so for now I just nodded and listened carefully. But I would still like to offer at least an alternative view.

Is there literature (he seems to like books) that offers decent counterpoints to this? It would be mMn only right to show him there that there are also still other opinions.

Best fund I have ever seen.

I think I will close my savings account and invest everything in this fund, my savings account simply yields too much interest. :D
