JEPI and JEPQ soon for European investors?

Yesterday it came to my attention that JPMorgan is apparently preparing to launch the extremely popular US ETFs JEPI and JEPQ in Europe.

JPMorgan ETFS (Ireland) ICAV - Nasdaq Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF

The UCITS versions of JEPI and JEPQ focus exclusively on US securities and could be used to actively manage a global equity portfolio. $JEGP (-0,58 %)The JEPI and JEPQ complement the JPMorgan ETF, which actively manages a global equity portfolio and sells index call options.

JEGP has raised more than USD 250 million (AUM) in just a few months. I suspect JPM is happy with that so far.

In addition, these new funds could be an interesting alternative to the two Global X funds popular here in the community, which also rely on options strategies.

$QYLE (-1,13 %)

$XYLP (-0,86 %)

Here are the links indicating the upcoming launch.

I still have the JEPI under observation. I can even buy them in Flatex, but there are foreign currency costs, so I left it alone. When it comes to DE then it will be very interesting.

@Immoinvestor1981 Since March there is also the <security:n/a:IE000WHL2ZK1> from iShares if you are looking for a US covered call ETF.

An alternative with (currently) better performance would be $WINC

@Quiny That is true. However, a direct comparison is not necessarily fair, as the holdings $JEGP vs. $WINC are very different. The JPM ETF is very defensively positioned and deliberately tries to reduce volatility. The iShares ETF, on the other hand, sticks closer to the MSCI World Index. In this respect, WINC has a different risk profile and I think this explains the differences in performance so far. However, the two together could form a good team in a portfolio.

Scalable also not yet available. I would also like to see the ETFs from NEOS. I would prefer them even more.

@aser0815 I hardly think that will ever happen. NEOS is a very, very small asset manager that a) has calibrated its income ETFs to the tax peculiarities in the USA and b) certainly does not want to put itself through the UCITS regulations as a small fund house.

Goldman Sachs is now also active in the CC area. You can take a look at GPIX and GPIQ. I could imagine a European market entry there. Invesco is also already in the game. QQA ETF! Also a good thing.

@Yield-Ahead Yes, the Goldman ones wouldn't be bad either.
