AT&T
$T (-1,8 %) has decided to sell its majority stake in DirecTV for 7,6 billion dollars in cash to private equity firm TPG, Bloomberg reports.

With the de-investment of DirectTV, ATT needs to return that cash to shareholders. What a stupid acquisition on ATT's part.
